Korea's Mirovision has picked up international sales on the new picture by super hot Hong Kong director Andrew Lau Wai-Keung, one half of the team behind the Infernal Affairs sensations.

The Park is a low-budget horror piece about a group of seven teenagers who step into a theme-park which has been abandoned for 14 years following the accidental death of a little girl.

Lau directed it as a personal project separate to those with his regular writing partner Alan Mak in between shooting the first and second instalments of the undercover agent drama Infernal Affairs.

The Park was produced by Lau, Media Asia head of production John Chong Ching and Lee Man Fai.

"We have been negotiating the rights to this for many months and are delighted to be handling this gem in international territories," said Mirovision chief executive Jason Chae.

It goes on release in Hong Kong later this month (Oct 23) through the Golden Harvest circuit and will first be screened for international buyers at next month's Mifed
