Natasha Little,the English actress who made her name playing Becky Sharp in the BBC's 1998 hitminiseries of Thackeray's Vanity Fair, has joined the cast of Mira Nair's new feature film of VanityFair in which ReeseWitherspoon is playing Becky. The film started shooting last month in the UK.

Little, whosefilm credits include Greenfingers, Kevin & Perry Go Large and The Criminal, is playing Lady Jane Sheepshanks who ismarried to Sir Pitt Cawley (played in the new film by Douglas Hodge).

The film whichis financed by Focus Features is produced by Janette Day, Donna Gigliotti andLydia Dean Pilcher. The new script by Matthew Faulk and Mark Skeet wasrewritten by Oscar winner Julian Fellowes.

Alongside USstar Witherspoon, Little is part of a large ensemble cast of British actorsincluding Eileen Atkins, Jim Broadbent, Gabriel Byrne, Romola Garai, BobHoskins, Rhys Ifans, Geraldine McEwan, James Purefroy and Jonathan Rhys Meyers.

Focus holdsworldwide rights to the film which is a Tempesta Films/Granada Film production.
