New Films International, the recently launched worldwideproduction and sales arm of the eight year-old distribution outfit, has signeda two-picture deal with Holedigger Films to handle international sales on Marie& Bruce and OffThe Map.

Both films were produced by Holedigger. Marie And Bruce, which premiered at the Sundance FilmFestival last month, stars Julianne Moore and Matthew Broderick, while OffThe Map, which premieredat Sundance 2003, stars Joan Allen and Sam Elliott.

The announcement comes hot on the heels of New FilmsInternational's first acquisitions - David Caffrey's Grand Theft Parsons starring Johnny Knoxville and ChristinaApplegate, Easy 6with Julian Sands and Katharine Towne and Undermind starring Sam Trammell and Ellen Pompeo.

The Holedigger deal was negotiated by Ron Gell, vicepresident of worldwide acquisitions and co-production, for New FilmsInternational, and Andrew Hurwitz of Epstein, Levinsohn, Bodine, Hurwitz &Weinstein on behalf of Holedigger Films.

Gell, the former head of RKO's specialized arm Radio Pictures, hasbeen charged with building up production of two to three films a year andinvestment of finishing funds as well as picking up pictures for worldwidedistribution.
