New Line International hasallied with Districine in Mexico for the distribution of all New Line's filmsin Mexico. New Line's films were previously handled by sister company WarnerBros Pictures International in all Latin America, but the studio is currentlyreassessing its distribution plans in the subcontinent.

Districine is a newlyfounded company run by Eduardo Rossoff and Richard Ham; Rossoff is theaward-winning director of Ave Mariaand has produced the films Keys To Freedom and Aro Tolkbukhin, In The Mind Of A Serial Killer, which was Mexico's submission to the foreignlanguage film Academy Award this year.

"Mexico is an extremelyimportant market for us, and Districine will enable a key component of ourinternational release strategies as we move into our slate for 2004," saidCamela Galano, president of New Line International Releasing. "Eduardo's workas a film-maker gives him a unique creative outlook and understanding of themarketplace. We're excited to have Districine on the New Line team."

The deal is effectiveimmediately and covers all New Line's 2004 films including The Notebook,Blade: Trinity and Son Of TheMask. Nestor Nieves, senior vicepresident, international releasing, closed the deal with Rossoff.

"New Line has showntremendous savvy in creating diverse movies and maximizing their impactinternationally, especially with The Lord of the Rings," Rossoff said. "Cam and Nestor have been extremelysupportive and collaborative in our plans for 2004, and we look forward toworking with them in bringing New Line's films to Mexican audiences."
