Blazing Griffin’s Danny Page (L) and Naysun Alae-Carew (R)

Blazing Griffin has recruited Danny Page as head of pictures, as part of the company’s expansion into film production.

Managing director Naysun Alae-Carew will continue as executive producer across Blazing Griffin’s film slate while also leading company strategy and overseeing new funding rounds.

Danny Page was lead producer on James McAvoy’s feature directorial debut California Schemin’ and is the founder of Homefront Productions. He is currently producing Farida: The Girl Who Fought Isis with producer Lloyd Levin (United 93, Watchmen), and was previously a development consultant for Endemol and Skydance. At Blazing Griffin, he will shape a slate of mid-budget features.

Last year, Blazing Griffin paused its television slate to concentrate on feature films. So far in 2025, it has delivered three titles: California Schemin’ and Brian Cox’s directorial debut Glenrothan, which both premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival, and Grow, a family film that premiered at the Edinburgh International Film Festival and will be released on Sky Cinema on October 10.
