Completion bond companies Film Finances International (FFI) and Media Guarantors are combining operations under the banner of finance, production and post-production group STX Entertainment.
The combination follows the acquisition of Media Guarantors from CAC Group by Film Services International, the FFI parent that is a sister company to STX.
Media Guarantors president and CEO Fred Milstein will serve as CEO of the combined bond company, with FFI executive vice president Steve Berman as president. FFI president Greg Trattner will become executive chairman, expanding his responsibilities across the family of production companies held by Film Services International, under group CEO Peter Coleman.
STX said the merger is its latest step in “building a true one-stop shop for production, spanning financing, physical production and post-production.” The combined completion bond operation joins post-production units Pivotal Post and SilverTrak in a group operating in the US, the UK, Australia, Canada and Europe.
STX became affiliated with Film Services International after relaunching under new investor Crown Productions at the start of 2026.
FFI, originally launched in the UK in 1950, expanded internationally in the 1970s and is now based in the US.
Media Guarantors was acquired by insurance broker and advisor CAC Group in September 2024.
Commenting on the combination of the bond companies, Coleman said: “We’ve built something special for the independent market. Producers can now rely on one partner for everything a film needs, anywhere in the world, from first dollar to final cut. That is a fundamentally stronger foundation for the films and filmmakers we support.”
