Programme enables professionals to gain a better grasp of the digital world.
With the support of the EU MEDIA Programme, Digital Production Challenge will take place in Paris from Nov 15-17. This programme, now in its fourth year, enables professionals to gain a better grasp on the complex world of digital workflows and ever-changing digital standards.
The DPC is divided into four parts: Case-studies of different budget ranges with special focus on low budget films and a “standard” budget around by experienced producers and their post-production providers; Presentation of selected participants’ film projects and review by the experts; Discussions on key topics such as teamwork, digital distribution and archiving; Focus subjects on selected technical aspects.
The programme features the participation of European film industry experts including Philippe Ros (Director of Photography/Digital Imaging Supervisor, France), Tommaso Vergallo (Digimage Cinéma, France), and Ruedi Schick (Swiss Effects, Switzerland). The general moderator of the workshop is Professor Martin Hagemann [pictured] (producer, zero fiction film, Germany).
Digital Production Challenge is proposed by FOCAL in co-operation with FICAM, Digimage Cinema, Swiss Effects, Ile de France Film Commission and with support of the MEDIA Programme of the European Union.
Deadline for registration is Sept 25. More information can be found at website. Participation fee is €450, which includes board and accommodation. Some scholarships are available.
