Lionsgate motion picture group president Joe Drake will be the keynote speaker at Film Independent’s sixth annual Filmmaker Forum, to be held October 29-31 at the Directors Guild of America headquarters in Los Angeles.

A screening of Summit Entertainment’s thriller Fair Game, followed by a Q&A and reception with director Doug Liman, will kick off the three-day Forum, which is presented by Indiewire.

“No one can better instruct film-makers making their film today than Joe Drake. He knows financing, distribution, sales and the current domestic and foreign marketplace inside out,” said Dawn Hudson, executive director of Film Independent.
