Three-day festival runs Sept 20-22 in L.A.

The fifth annual 3D Film and Music Festival (3DFF) in Los Angeles has announced its schedule, which will include fourteen 3D features and 40 3D shorts.

The three-day festival runs Sept 20-22 at Regal Cinemas L.A. LIVE Stadium 14 with additional activities taking place at the JW Marriott Los Angeles, L.A. LIVE, The Ritz-Carlton Los Angeles, Club Nokia, The Conga Room and The GRAMMY Museum.

The festival, presented by RealD, 3net and LG Electronics, will induct several music and film industry figures into the Digital Stars of Hollywood Lifetime Achievement Award Program, a festival equivalent to the Hollywood Walk of Fame for the 3D industry. Inductees will include Quincy Jones and Claude Nobs. The Digital Stars Of Hollywood Award Show will take place at the Conga Room on Sept 22.

3D documentaries premiering at the 3DFF include River Monsters 3D, Storm Surfers 3D and the jazz concert film Experience Montreux 3D featuring Quincy Jones.

Also premiering will be the animated steampunk action-adventure War of the Worlds: Goliath in 3D, featuring voice performances by sci-fi stars Adam Baldwin and Mark Sheppard. The 3DFF ‘Friday Horror Show’ will show Piranha 3DD and the US premiere of Night of the Living Dead 3D.
