Argyris Papadimitropoulos’s romantic drama Monday, starring Sebastian Stan and Denise Gough, has wrapped production in Greece.

‘Monday’

Stan and Gough play two Americans living in Athens who enjoy a whirlwind romantic weekend one summer. 

Monday is produced by Christos V. Konstantakopoulos’s Athens-based Faliro House Production, with Brian Kavanaugh-Jones of the US’ Automatik and UK producer Damian Jones of DJ Films. Automatik’s Fred Berger is exec producing and Faliro House provided finance.

Protagonist Pictures is handling international sales and the producers have retained US rights.

Monday is Papadimitropoulos’s fourth feature. His most recent film was Suntan which was well received following its premiere at International Film Festival Rotterdam in January 2018 and went on to win Best International Feature Film at the Edinburgh International Film Festival.

Papadimitropoulos co-wrote the screenplay with Rob Hayes.

Protagonist Pictures is handling international sales on the title and will launch it at the upcoming European Film Market in Berlin. The producers have retained US rights.
