Nolan Gallagher

Nolan Gallagher is to step down as CEO of Gravitas Ventures, the US video on demand and theatrical distributor he founded in 2006. 

Anthem Sports & Entertainment, the TV network and sports group that bought Gravitas in 2021, said it is working with Nolan and has retained an advisor to find a new head for the company. 

Nolan, who will leave Gravitas at the end of March, said he will now focus on his co-ownership of a new Major League Soccer to play in Cleveland, the city to which Gravitas relocated from Los Angeles in 2019. 

Gravitas has released more than 3,000 films on VOD in the US. Recent releases have included theatrical launch Mack & Rita, The King’s DaughterQueen BeesOur Friend and Vanguard. 

Gallagher commented: “I and by extension Gravitas have been so fortunate to have collaborated with so many talented directors, producers, actors, and media executive over the last 17 years. To have had a front row seat and active hand in the birth, growth, and maturation of how audiences enjoy compelling stories on video on demand has been personally and professionally rewarding.
