EXCLUSIVE: Hollywood Classics to licence more than 250 titles from Miramax library.

Hollywood Classics has inked a deal to licence home video and VOD (TVOD and EST) rights to more than 250 Miramax titles including Pulp Fiction, Chicago, The English Patient, and the Scream, Scary Movie and Kill Bill franchises.

The deal covers a host of territories including Eastern Europe (Albania, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovinia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Rep., Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Serbia and Montenegro, Slovakia, Slovenia and Ukraine), Greece, Iceland, Portugal and Turkey.

John Ramchandani, managing director at Hollywood Classics described the deal as a “great privilege”.

“With more than 280 Academy Award nominations and 68 Oscars, the Miramax library is considered the film industry’s benchmark for outstanding, crowd-pleasing, quality features,” he added.

Hollywood Classics, a subsidiary of UK distributor Metrodome, represents the library titles of Universal Studios, Twentieth Century Fox, Warner Bros. and MGM among others.
