Lionsgate has signed a theatrical distribution for Canada with Cineplex Pictures that will see the distributor releasing eleven films from Lionsgate’s 2023 slate.
Among the titles Cineplex will bring to Canadian cinemas under the deal during the first quarter of the year are Gerard Butler action thriller Plane, Kelsey Grammer drama Jesus Revolution and John Wick: Chapter 4, with Keanu Reeves in the latest installment of Lionsgate’s action franchise.
On the slate for later in the year are Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret, About My Father, The Expendables 4, the next installment of the Saw franchise and franchise prequel The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes.
Cineplex Pictures, a division of the Cineplex exhibition, digital media and leisure group, released Lionsgate and Gold Circle’s Prey for the Devil theatrically in Canada last October.
