Elisabeth d’Arvieu, group chief content officer and CEO of Mediawan Pictures, and Philip Knatchbull, chairman and CEO of Curzon, are the latest senior executives to join the speaker lineup at the Screen Summit 2026: ’Financing The Future of UK Film.”

The third annual Screen Summit is taking place at the BFI Southbank on September 29. Tickets are on sale now. The Early Bird offer price of £245+VAT ends tomorrow, Friday August 28.

One of Europe’s leading film and TV executives, d’Arvieu will take part in a fireside chat.  She will talk about what is next for Mediawan following its transformation into a European powerhouse encompassing UK film and TV companies, Plan B, See Saw Films and Misfits.

Knatchbull will join Ollie Madden, head of UK film at Netflix and Harriet Finney, deputy CEO of the BFI, on the panel called ’Future Thinking: The bold ideas to transform the UK film sector’.

After buying UK distributor and exhibitor Curzon in 2006, Knatchbull spent 17 years at the company, growing the cinemas from two to 10 and launching arthouse streaming platform Curzon Home Cinema. He stepped down as CEO in 2019 when he sold the company to Cohen Media Group but returned in 2024 when Curzon was acquired by the US’ Fortress Investment Group, with a vision to establish the company as a broader cultural and lifestyle brand.

Further speakers at the Summit include WMA’s Sinead Dean, DDA’s chief creative officer Julie La ’Bssiere, Ben Browning, co-CEO of Pathe UK, Frederic Fiore, president of Logical Pictures Group, Phin Glynn, producing partner at Tricky Knot, producers Gabrielle Tana of Magnolia Mae Films and Emily Morgan of Quiddity Films, Noel Tovey, managing director at Sky Studios Elstree, Emily Stillman, senior vice president at Warner Bros Studios Leavesden, and Bee Devine, chief operating officer at Garden Studios.

The line-up of speakers and sessions will be finalised in the coming weeks
