The Beatles — A Four-Film Cinematic Event has added four more cast members and confirmed key crew members as shooting continues in the UK. 

Farhan Akhtar will play Ravi Shankar in the Sony Pictures and Neal Street project. Lucy Boynton joins the cast as Jane Asher, Morfydd Clark will portray Cynthia Lennon and Harry Lawtey gets the role of Stuart Sutcliffe.

Behind the camera, Greig Fraser has been named as cinematographer, Lee Smith as editor and Stefania Cella, MarkTildesley and Neal Callow as production designers. Also joining the project are costume designer Sinéad Kidao, hair and makeup designer Naomi Donne, executive music producer Giles Martin, sound mixer Stuart Wilson, casting director Nina Gold and executive producer/first assistant director Toby Hefferman. 

The four features – the first scripted films to have been granted full life story and music rights by Apple Corps Ltd and the Beatles – will be directed by Mendes, who is also producing alongside his Neal Street Productions partner Pippa Harris, Neal Street’s Julie Pastor and Alexandra Derbyshire. 

Sony is financing the project and will distribute worldwide with full theatrical windows in April 2028.
