‘Lo dejamos aca’

Netflix has announced two new Argentinian features, continuing what the streamer describes as its “unwavering” commitment to the Latin American territory.

Lo dejamos acá stars Ricardo Darín, from Oscar nominee Argentina, 1985, and Diego Peretti in the story of a pragmatic psychoanalyst who has lost faith in traditional psychological methods and the creatively blocked writer who comes to him for help.

Hernán Goldfrid directs from a script by Emanuel Diez. Kenya Films is the production company.

El último gigante stars Oscar Martínez, known internationally from Official Competition, and Matías Mayer and follows a charismatic tour guide who unexpectedly reunites with the father who abandoned him 28 years ago.

Marcos Carnevale is the writer and director and the film is produced by Leyenda Films and Kuarzo International Films.

Both projects start shooting this month.

Also starting its shoot this month is Netflix’s previously announced Parque Lezama, written and directed by Juan José Campanella, produced by 100 Bares Producciones and starring Luis Brandoni and Eduardo Blanco.

Netflix’s vice president of content for Latin America Francisco Ramos commented: “Our commitment to Argentina is unwavering. We are passionate about being part of the audiovisual creation of this incredible country, promoting its cinema both within and beyond its borders. We will continue offering the highest-quality entertainment to our members and showcasing the best of Argentina through its films, which are unique and globally acclaimed. I’m especially proud to strengthen our collaboration with Ricardo Darín, with Kenya Films, and with Juan José Campanella, with whom we are already working on two projects. We hope they find a home at Netflix.”
