All the sessions for the 2025 Screen Summit, titled ‘Building on the UK’s Global Success’, have now been unveiled ahead of the event on September 30 at the BFI Southbank. 

The summit will kick off with a keynote speech from BFI chief executive Ben Roberts.

The morning sessions will cover trailblazing producers Iain Canning (See-Saw Films), Ed Guiney (Element Pictures) and Liza Marshall (Hera Pictures); the future of public film funding with Eva Yates (BBC Film), Farhana Bhula (Film4) and Mia Bays (BFI); and equity financing, cash management, and navigating contracts and IP rights, with Charles Auty (Elevate Production Finance), Luke Carey (Lee & Thompson) and Sarah Gooding (Centtrip).

Following lunch, the summit will delve into the changing sales landscape, with Celine Rattray (Maven Screen Media), David Garrett (Mister Smith Entertainment), Gabrielle Stewart (HanWay Films), Mike Goodridge (Good Chaos) and Vanessa Saal (mk2 Films); UK studios, with Debbie Adler (Garden Studios), Gerwyn Evans (Great Point Studios) and Kate Phibbs (Film Soho); and the reality of being a UK independent producer, with Andy Paterson (Virtual Circle), Helen Simmons (Erebus Pictures) and Sarah Brocklehurst (Brock Media).

The final session – to be followed by networking drinks – will see top distribution executives discuss the evolving marketplace for UK film, and feature John Friedberg (Black Bear), Kezia Williams (Universal Pictures International) and Zygi Kamasa (True Brit Entertainment).
