Sebastian Stan is reportedly in talks to joint the cast of The Batman: Part II, DC Studios’ sequel to its 2022 hit with Robert Pattinson in the title role.
The sequel is expected to start shooting during the first half of this year at Warner Bros Leavesden in the UK, also the base for the original film, and at UK locations.
Pattinson and writer-director Matt Reeves are returning from The Batman, which grossed $772m worldwide through DC Studio’s parent Warner Bros. Jeffrey Wright, Andy Serkis and Colin Farrell are also expected to reprise their roles from the original film and Scarlett Johansson is believed to be joining the cast. It is not yet known what role Stan might play in the sequel.
Stan earned Oscar and Bafta nominations last year for his performance in The Apprentice. He is also known for his appearances in several Marvel features, among them Thunderbolts* and Captain America: Brave New World. He is set to appear in Marvel’s Avengers: Doomsday in December.
The Batman: Part II has gone through several schedule delays but is currently set for release in October 2027.
At time of writing, DC Studios had not responded to a request for comment.
