
EXCLUSIVE: Singapore-based mm2 Asia has partnered with technology firm Evision Media to launch a global streaming platform for short-form drama.
Dramazo will see creators given the power to publish their content directly to the platform and retain full IP rights, shifting from the need for dedicated distributors. It will also transform short dramas into tradeable digital assets for IP licensing and script trading.
Due to launch in Q3, a suite of local apps will be deployed to capture niche regional audiences.
These include TShorts for Hokkien-speaking audiences will be launched in Taiwan in partnership with Gala Television (GTV), Forward Music SG, and Dodohon International. CShorts will focus on original production for Cantonese-speaking audiences and miShorts is tailored for Bahasa Melayu-speaking communities.
More than 15 projects for the three regional platforms are in development, including three produced using AI-generated content (AIGC) in partnership with Singapore-based AI producer FizzDragon.
Evision Media is at Filmart under the Jiangsu Pavilion.
