Principal photography has commenced on The Hoarder, starring Mischa Barton and Robert Knepper.

The horror-thriller is the first film from newly formed EIS based production company Sunny Day Media, headed up by UK financier Keith Chapman.

Working with UK producer Tim Dennison, the fund has been set up to produce and finance a slate of $2m-$3m pictures through the use of EIS and Equity funding.

Directed by Matt Winn (who also co-wrote), The Hoarder is the first film to go into production and a sales agent is currently being sought to handle international sales. It’s currently shooting at London’s Three Mills Studios.

Next up will be Jake West’s Spitfire, written by Dan Schaffer and to be produced by Dennison, Bob Portal and Simon Markham. The producers are in talks with Daryl Hannah and Bérénice Marlohe, with further casting details to be announced.

Sunny Day Media plans to produce two films a year that have been developed in house, but are also exploring boarding one-two third party projects that already have existing elements in place.
