‘Quo Vadis, Aida?’

Super Ltd has acquired North American rights from Indie Sales to Jasmila Zbanic’s Oscar shortlisted award-winning drama Quo Vadis, Aida?

Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Oscar submission revisits events leading up to the Srebrenica massacre during the Bosnian War in 1995.

Jasna Duricic stars as a local teacher-turned-interpreter for the UN on a desperate mission to save her two sons and husband when the Serbian army rolls into town.

Dan O’Meara and Darcy Heusel negotiated the deal for Neon’s boutique division and incubator Super Ltd with Nicolas Eschbach and Simon Gabriele of Indie Sales.

Quo Vadis, Aida? Recently won IFFR audience award and Goteborg best international film prize and has been selling internationally for Indie Sales, with rights going to Australia, France, South Korea, Brazil, and Sweden, among others.

The film is produced by Sarajevo-based Deblokada, in co-production with coop99 filmproduktion (Austria), Digital Cube (Romania), N279 (Netherlands), Razor Film (Germany), Extreme Emotions (Poland), Indie Prod (France), Torden Film (Norway), TRT (Turkey), ZDF ARTE, ORF and BHRT.
