Scandinavian film distribution and production outfit Svensk Filmindustri has appointed Pia Grünler as its new head of theatrical, as of April 2016.
Grunler joins from Nordisk Film, where she was market director for the previous nine years, overseeing the company’s theatrical and home entertainment distribution activities.
In her new role, she will oversee Svensk Filmindustri’s Nordic theatrical distribution, reporting to Antti Toiviainen, chief sales and distribution officer.
“We are very happy that Pia has decided to join our team. Her track-record from the film distribution business and in-depth understanding of the local film production is a perfect match to develop our business in the future,” commented Toiviainen.
