The Escape From New York director will perform a live concert at the Neuchatel Fantastic Film Festival, which will feature a retrospective of his works.

Switzerland’s Neuchatel International Fantastic Film Festival will honour John Carpenter at its 2016 edition.

The event, which celebrates genre cinema, will host a live concert on July 6 where the acclaimed director and composer of such films as Halloween, Escape From New York and They Live will perform a selection of his most noted scores, as well as new compositions.

The programme will also feature a retrospective of the director’s films.

The 2016 Neuchatel Fantastic Film Festival runs July 1-9, further line-up details will be announced in April.
