UK production company and talent development consultancy Story Compound has launched a programme to help develop AI skills in film production.
The Story Compound Digital Academy is part-funded by ScreenSkills Film Skills Fund and is aimed at UK-based freelancers and independent professionals working across the production sector.
Six early-to-mid career professionals will undertake 15 weeks of training which focuses on responsible, legal, and practical use of AI and digital tools across development, pre-production, production, and post-production. It culminates in the creation of a short film in a virtual production studio.
Tolu Stedford, CEO at Story Compound, described the programme as “a space built to future-proof today’s creative workforce and prepare it for the challenges of tomorrow”.
The scheme is open to applications until April 13.
