Long-serving Wild Bunch executive takes on additional responsibilities.

Wild Bunch’s long-time sales agent Carole Baraton has been promoted to the role of head of international sales at the company.

In her new position, Baraton will oversee the running of the whole international sales department. Her role will include supervising the sales team, setting sales estimates and assessing offers.

She will also continue to be responsible for sales to the US, Northern Europe and all English-speaking territories.

Wild Bunch co-chief Vincent Maraval, who ran the sales department prior to the announcement, said the move would free him up to focus more on the long-term strategy of the company. He will continue to handle sales to France, Japan, Canada, CIS and Germany.

“It was time to shake things up a bit,” said Maraval. “I wanted a change and Carole felt ready to take on more responsibility.”

The re-shuffle also follows the departure of long-time Wild Bunch sales executive Gaël Nouaille at the beginning of the year to focus on producing.

Baraton started her film sales career at StudioCanal working on the catalogue. She has been with Wild Bunch since its creation in 1999, and joined the founders when the company became independent in 2002.
