‘Burrowing’ plays at the Berlinale in the Forum section, premiering on Saturday February 7.

The Forum places emphasis on young filmmakers that push the limits of the medium and perception itself.

Ignas Scheynius CEO at NonStop Entertainment welcomed the deal:

We look forward to work with another domestic film. Burrowing has an edge that we like and it suits well with our line up of modern high quality films.’ said Scheynius

In Burrowing eleven year old Sebastian lives at home with his mother. From an elevated spot, he surveys his neighbours: Jimmy who lives with his parents, even though he’s got a child of his own; Anders who’s just been given planning permission for a new carport; Mischa who came as a guest worker in the seventies but still hasn’t left. Sebastian sees the asphalt rotting. He sees hollyhocks eating their way into the foundations causing fractures in the concrete slabs laid directly on the ground. A break-up can only come through force.
