The UK's New ProducersAlliance (NPA) has named Sandra Gorel's I Love You, JoseffHughes the winning film in its annual shorts competition.

Gorel's short also won theaudience award. Her prize includes a screening at London's East End FilmFestival, a screening at the Cannes 2006 UK Film Centre through the UK FilmCouncil, £1000 of Kodak film stock, two months post-production office space at Ealing Studio, and a sound edit atLipSync Post.

Each month from July 2005-February 2006, NPAmembers submitted short films to the NPA executive committee for considerations.Eligible shorts must have a writer, director, or producer who is a current NPAmember.

The other finalists were Jeremy Benstock's Orders of Love, KellyBroad & Hattie Dalton's The Banker,Jane McGee's Disconnected, StephenFollows & Sharon Lark's Spacechase, Mario Ochandio's Tess - A Tale of Love and Darkness, China Moo-Young's Liar(the audience award runner-up), and Carol Murphy's Automaton.
