International sales company The Coproduction Office has sold Canadian rights to Roy Andersson's Cannes competition entry Songs From The Second Floor to Odeon Films, a subsidiary of Alliance Atlantis Communications.

Latina Film in Mexico and Gutek Film in Poland have also acquired the film which screens in the Toronto International Film Festival in a new remixed print today.

The highly touted $5.5m film was co-produced by The Coproduction Office with Andersson's Studio 54 and won the Prix Tres Special at Cannes. The film is composed of a series of vignettes of modern urban life shot in just 45 cuts.

The Berlin-based Coproduction Office is also handling Lou Ye's Suzhou, Jessica Hausner's Lovely Rita and is currently packaging Bruce LaBruce's Come As You Are.
