TheUK indie distributor formerly known as ParasolPeccadillo Releasing has now split into Parasol Pictures Releasing andPeccadillo Pictures, ending a five-year strategic alliance. Peccadillocontinues to be run by Tom Abell and Kahloon Loke. Parasol is run byChristian Martin.

Meanwhile,Parasol said it has invested in a new HD edit suite for Parasol Post anddigital equipment for Parasol Productions. The company also has an online DVDretail site, madbad.co.uk.

Parasolis in post-production on its documentary ThiefOf Hearts - White Lies, about a South Africanhospital gardener who learns surgical skills. The company also has acquiredrights to Christina Comencini's La Bestia Nel Cuore from TF1and Leste Chen's EternalSummer from Three Dots.

Asannounced earlier, Peccadillo has acquired the rights to two Berlinale titles, TheBlossoming of Maximo Oliverosand Beyond Hatred.
