Picturehouse, the USdistribution joint venture formed by New Line Cinema and HBO, has unveiled theNew York-based distribution team which will handle the release of the films intodomestic theatres.

Rob Schwarz has been namedchief operating officer, Bill Thompson (pictured) is senior vice president andco-general sales manager, John Lange is senior vice president and co-generalsales manager, Crystal King is vice president, marketing operations, and TomHassell and Dan Lange are vice presidents of distribution.

Schwartz, Thompson and Langehave all worked closely with Picturehouse president Bob Berney before thecompany was formed. Schwartz was senior vice president, marketing anddistribution, at Berney's Newmarket Films and has worked with him for more thanten years. Thompson was vice president, general sales manager, at Newmarket,while Lange, through his own company Lange Film Releasing, had worked onBerney's team on films including Memento, Y Tu Mama Tambien, Whale Rider,Monster, My Big Fat Greek Wedding andThe Passion Of The Christ.

King also arrives atPicturehouse from Newmarket Films which she joined in Sept 2002.

Picturehouse's release slatekicks off with Gus Van Sant's Last Days on July 22 and continues with The Chumscrubber on Aug 5, The Thing About My Folks on Sept 16, A Cock And Bull Story on Sept 30 and Ushpizin on Oct 14.
