The latest omnibus feature will be a love letter to Sydney.

Australian producers John Polson and Gary Hamilton are joining forces to make feature film Sydney, I Love You.

The film, which follows in the footsteps of previous omnibus films Paris, Je T’aime and New York, I Love You, is due to go into production in early 2012.

It will be made up of 12 shorts—approximately 8-10 minutes each—with each one set in Sydney during a different month of the year. No directing or acting talent involved has been announced yet.

Producer, director and TropFest founder Polson devised the idea along with Arclight Films International MD Gary Hamilton in Cannes this year.

“It is no secret some of the best directors, actors and others either live here or are from here. It’s about time these people got together to tell stories that showcase one of the world’s most beautiful cities,” he said.
