Chris Coen of Unanimous Entertainment has developed the thriller, which will feature an all star cast including William H. Macy and Terence Howard.

Allessandro Nivola, William H. Macy, Terrence Howard, Juliette Lewis, Emily Mortimer, Ray Stevenson and Imogen Poots have signed up to star in A Single Shot, to be directed by David M Rosenthal.

Based on the book by US writer Matthew F. Jones, who has also adapted the screenplay, it tells the story a poacher who makes a fatal mistake that leaves him with a suitcase full of blood money and hardened killers on his trail.

The project has been developed by Chris Coen of Unanimous Entertainment, who will produce alongside Unified Pictures’ Keith Kjarval and Bron Studios’ Aaron L. Gilbert. LA-based Unified Pictures will also handle intenational sales and will be introducing the project to buyers at Cannes next month.

Shooting is due to begin on May 2 in Vancouver.

Coen described A Single Shot as “one of those rare scripts that works on so many levels. Matthew Jones’ success in adapting his own work is a stunning achievement. I am particularly excited to be working with our director David Rosenfeld and leading man Alessandro Nivola; two very talented people who will bring to life the incredible journey of John Moon”.
