Production is set to begin in New York on July 12 on New York-based Cicala Filmworks US-German romance My Last Day Without You.

Cicala co-founder Stefan Schaefer will direct the story of a German businessman whose life changes on a one-day trip to New York when he meets an aspiring signer-songwriter.

Silver Shepherd, a newly formed international co-production venture founded by Schaefer and Christoph Silber, is also producing.

Ken Duken, Nicole Beharie, Reg E Cathey, Laith Nakli, Marlene Forte and Robert Clohessy will star. Schaefer co-wrote the screenplay with Germany’s Christoph Silber. Cicala’s Diane Crespo and Schaefer serve as producers.
