Edward Hogg and Jamie Ballard have signed on to star in Tom Schkolnik’s debut feature, The Comedian, which is due to start shooting in London next year.

Produced by Bertrand Faivre of The Bureau, together with Dan McCulloch, it tells the story of twentysomething comedian who descends into a spiral of alcohol and casual sex after being dumped by his long term boyfriend, and is forced to try and rediscover his comic voice.

Schkolnik has also written the script for the feature, which is currently in pre production. International sales are being handled by Celluloid Dreams.

Shooting will take place in London in February/March 2011.
