Joining Ali the cast includes Lyriq Bent and newcomer Stephan James. eOne holds Canadian distribution rights and Home Again is being produced in association with The National Film Board (NFB), Telefilm Canada, and the Harold Greenberg Fund.
Sutherland co-wrote the script with Hungry Eyes partner Jennifer Holness, who is producing with Don Carmody and NFB’s Anita Lee.
“We are incredibly excited to have been able to bring together such an exceptional cast for the project,” Holness said. “This is a passion project for Sudz and I, and the material is really tough all of these actors are going to be delving into incredibly difficult emotional terrain.”
The film will be shot for 30 days in Trinidad and Jamaica before heading back to Toronto for additional shoot days and post-production.
