Amit Gupta is preparing the shoot of his next feature Jadoo and Aidan Gillen stars in The Good Man, while shooting is underway on Pablo Trapero’s White Elephant in Buenos Aires.

Amit Gupta wrote the script and will direct Jadoo, a comedy about two brothers who fall out so badly that they rip the family recipe book in half and set up rival restaurants across the road from each other. The $3m production is produced by Tigerlily Films, Big Rich Films and AIR Productions, with EM Media

Principal photography is about to start on The Good Man starring Aidan Gillen, Jonathan Harden, Thabang Sidloyi, Kelly Campbell and Lalor Roddy. Phil Harrison is directing from his own screenplay which centres on two interconnecting stories about a rising Belfast banker and a South African teenager. Manifesto Films is producing and the drama also received financial aid from the Northern Ireland Screen. Shooting will take place in Belfast and South Africa.

In South America shooting has almost finished on White Elephant, a drama which follows the friendship between two priests, starring Ricardo Darin, Jérémie Renier and Martina Gusman. Pablo Trapero [pictured] is directing and also co-wrote the script alongside Santiago Mitre, Martin Mauregui and Alejandro Fadel. The film is a co-production between Spain’s Morena Films, France’s Full House and Argentina’s Matanza Films and Patagonik Film Group.
