New Artists Alliance and Caliber Media Co begin production this week in downtown Los Angeles on The Scribbler.

Taken’s Katie Cassidy will star as the title character alongside Garret Dillahunt, Michelle Trachtenberg, Eliza Dushku, Gina Gershon, Michael Imperioli, Billy Campbell and Sasha Grey.

The Scribbler follows a young woman who confronts her mental illness by using a machine designed to eliminate multiple personalities. John Suits will direct from Daniel Schaffer’s adapted screenplay.

NAA founder Gabriel Cowan will produce along with NightSky’s Ken Levin. Caliber’s Dallas Sonnier and Jack Heller will serve as executive producers with NAA’s Kerry Johnson.

The Scribbler is one of four collaborations coming up between NAA and Caliber Media. More projects will be announced in due course.
