Elliott Tittensor and Matthew McNulty to star, UK shoot set between March-April 2012

Mat Whitecross will direct Stone Roses inspired film Spike Island, which is being backed by Fiesta Productions, BBC Films, BFI Film Fund and Revolver Entertainment, which handles the UK distribution.

Based on the Stone Roses’ most iconic performance, the film focuses on a group of young estate boys who have formed their own indie rock band and travel to see their favourite band’s iconic 1990 Spike Island gig.

Elliott Tittensor and Matthew McNulty will star in the feature written by Chris Coghill.

Bankside Films is handling sales.
