Producer Gino Cabanas and venture capitalist Wagner Richard have formed a partnership to finance films, TV projects and web series.

The partners expect their new Sea Rich Studios operation to make four to six projects a year with budgets in the $2m-$5m range. The company will have a development fund for projects aimed specifically at the Latino audience.

Beverly Hills-based Cabanas has credits including Cut Off and American Crude and was formerly CEO of The Vine Studio.

Richard is a senior partner at Los Angeles venture capital firm J W Richburg.

Cabanas’ upcoming reality TV series Juke Box Heroes will be the first project to go into production.
