Director MJ Delaney’s feature debut, based on hit Edinburgh play, is shooting now in London.

Sheridan Smith, Jaime Winstone, singer Kate Nash and Oona Chaplin are among the cast on MJ Delaney’s feature debut Powder Room, previously announced by Screen (under the previous title When Women Wee).

Damian Jones and James Cotton are producing the comedy about a young woman - played by Smith - whose life is turned upside down on a big night out. Riann Steele, Sarah Hoare, Lashana Lynch and Antonia Bernath are also among the cast.

Rachel Hirons has scripted the feature, which is based on the successful Edinburgh Fringe hit When Women Wee. Shooting takes place at 3 Mills Studios and on location around London.

Commercials director Delaney is best known for her YouTube sensation spoof Newport State of Mind and Channel 4’s Ben and Lump.

Acclaimed singer Nash has recently had roles in Daniel Algrant’s Greetings from Tim Buckley and Aram Michael Rappaport’s Syrup.
