Among the new films added to Screenbase are Fils Unique (Miel Van Hoogenbemt), Missione Di Pace (Francesco Lagi) as well as Vorstadtkrokodile 3 - Alle Für Einen! (Wolfgang Groos).

Flemish director Miel Van Hoogenbemt has started shooting his second French-language feature, Fils Unique, on Tuesday (July 13) in The Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. The film centres on a divorced taxi driver from the north of France who is asked by his mother, after she is diagnosed with cancer, to accommodate his estranged father. The drama stars Laurent Capelluto, Sophie Quinton and Patrick Chesnais. Producers are Sébastien Delloye and Diana Elbaum for Entre Chien Et Loup, with France’s Liaison Cinematographique and Luxembourg’s Samsa Film as co-producers. Hoogenbemt co-wrote the script with Dominique Sampiero. Shooting is scheduled to finish at the end of August and Films Distribution will sell the film internationally. Pyramide will release in France.

Alba Rohrwacher, Silvio Orlando, Francesco Brandi and Cristian Bugatti head the cast in Francesco Lagi’s comedy Missione Di Pace, which centres on a captain who guides his soldiers in a comic and adventurous mission that begins in the north east of Italy and ends in the Balkans. The $2.16m film is produced by Donatella Botti for Bianca Film and has received co-production support from Rai Cinema. Scripted by Umberto Contarello, Filippo Gravino, Francesco Lagi and Marco Pettenello, the production is currently shooting in the Friuli-Venezia-Giulia region, including Udine and Gemona del Friuli, with shooting due to wrap in early August.

Next year sees the release of the third and final instalment of the family franchise Vorstadtkrokodile, with Vorstadtkrokodile 3 - Alle Für Einen!currently filming across various parts of western Germany. Directed by Wolfgang Groos, the film is being produced by Constantin Film Produktion, Westside Filmproduktion and Rat Pack Filmproduktion, with Christian Becker and Lena Schömann (formerly Lena Olbrich) as producers. Constantin Film will distribute the feature in German-speaking territories upon its release. The film will also see the return of previous cast members as the crocodile crew, including Nick Romeo Reimann, Fabian Halbig, Manuel Steitz, Leonie Tepe and Ella-Maria Gollmer.
