Grants up to $15,000 will be given to films by, for and about women to cover post services such as online editing, sound mixing, colour correction and closed captioning.

The programme funds both short and long format films including narratives, documentaries, educational, animated and experimental from various countries around the world.

Previous recipient of the WIFF fund includes Maryam Keshavarz’s Circumstance.

“We were so honuored and grateful for Women in Film’s support of our film,” Circumstance producer Michelle Lee said. “The post production grant was crucial to us finishing Circumstance and we wouldn’t have been able to do it without the Women in Film Foundation’s Film Finishing Fund supporting projects like ours.”

Applications are being accepted for the 2012 cycle until May 18. The winner will be announced in October.
