The film has undergone a complete restoration for cinematic and Blu-ray release.

Steven Spielberg’s Raiders of the Lost Ark will screen at a number of UK IMAX venues in September for a one-week engagement.

Spielberg and sound designer Ben Burtt worked on the restoration of the film.

“When I saw the stunning quality of the picture and heard the enhanced sound in an IMAX theatre, I was quite literally blown away and hope that audiences will enjoy the experience as much as I did,” said Spielberg.
