Bernard Rapp 's Une Affaire De Gout bagged three awards at the 18th Cognac Festival of Crime Films (April 6-9), including the Cognac 2000 Grand Prize, the Critics' Prize and the Cine Live Prize.

The film noir, which stars Bernard Giraudeau, Jean-Pierre Lorit and Florence Thomassin, was the token French film among an almost entirely US selection. It is sold on the international market by France Television Distribution's classics division, Art Box.

For the first time this year, a Special Police prize was handed out by a jury of police officers, including a US special agent and a Scotland Yard detective. The prize went to US title In Too Deep, directed by Michael Rymer.
