UK distributor Redbus Film Distribution has picked up all rights to a 15-strong package of star-laden pictures from Germany's Intertainment ahead of its float in the second quarter this year.

The films, which are in addition to a sixty-plus package of titles from Intertainment for Video-On-Demand (Screen Daily April 7), include 3000 Miles To Graceland, with Kevin Costner and Kurt Russell; The Big Kahuna, with Danny DeVito and Kevin Spacey; Things You Can Tell Just By Looking At Her, with Cameron Diaz, Glenn Close and Holly Hunter; and Caveman's Valentine with Samuel L Jackson.

Intertainment also has pan-European distribution output deals with Warner Bros and Twentieth Century Fox.

Redbus parent Filmgroup, which this month confirmed its intention to float, possibly as soon as next month, has also nabbed VoD rights to such Intertainment pictures as The Whole Nine Yards, starring Bruce Willis; the Get Carter re-make with Sylvester Stallone; and Battlefield Earth, with John Travolta. Filmgroup also has free-TV rights to six pictures including The Whole Nine Yards, the Get Carter re-make and Grey Owl.

Filmgroup aims to air the titles via VoD from mid 2001. The Internet-based service is to launch in the fourth quarter this year.
