This is a wrong-headed decision. Richard provided the perfect foil to independent regional producers, offering support, advice and well placed criticism at all stages of a film. He had been a breath of fresh air for me as a NE based producer, passionate, personable and prepared to come out to me in the frozen north rather than hide away in the office. I'm sorry he won't be there to see our new film THE HIPPIES: PUNK ROCKED MY CRADLE reach fruition, but he will be invited to the premier and for a beer afterwards.
