EXCLUSIVE: Carnaby inks multiple deals on espionage thriller.

London-based Carnaby International has inked deals on espionage thriller Damascus Cover, set to star Jonathan Rhys Meyers, John Hurt and Olivia Thirlby.

Deals have closed with Flins y Piniculas (Spain), Gulf Films (Middle East), PT Prima Cinema (Indonesia), ​Discovery (Former Yugoslavia), Mountain Pictures (South Korea) and KRU Group (Malaysia).

Xeitgeist Entertainment Group has joined UK-based Big Book Media as investment and production partner on the film, about a veteran spy sent to Syria to smuggle a chemical weapons scientist and his family out of Damascus.

Xeitgeist founder Joe Thomas takes on a producer role alongside Hannah Leader (Lucky Number Slevin) and Huw Jones.

Principal photography on the Daniel Berk-directed feature got underway in Morocco last week.
