UK terrestrial broadcasting rivals BBC and ITV have struck a joint film rights deal to acquire Disney's theatrical output from 2000.

Under the deal with Buena Vista International Television, UK commercial broadcasting network ITV has picked up the rights to titles including Unbreakable, Gone In 60 Seconds, Scary Movie, Coyote Ugly and Mission To Mars.

The BBC has taken more family-oriented fare with 102 Dalmatians, and the romantic comedies Chocolat and High Fidelity.

The companies have also acquired several library titles, with ITV acquiring Pretty Woman, Parent Trap and The Hand That Rocks The Cradle, while the BBC has picked up Pulp Fiction.
