At the London Independent Film Festival, Jan Dunn's Ruby Blue won best UK feature and Gareth Roberts' Kill Kill Faster Faster won best international feature.

For the UK award, sponsored by Prime Focus London, writer/director Dunn and her producer Elaine Wickham won post-production finance worth about $100,000.

Julian Richards was named best director for Summer Scars and Tania Meneguzzi won best screenplay for Brink.

Best UK documentary went to Dean Puckett's Elephant In The Room and best international documentary was Carl Brown's 2nd Verse.

Best short documentary was Darryn de la Soul's So You Shall Reap, best short feature went to Elaine Wickham's My Mother, and best no-budget feature winner was Simon Welsford for Jetsam.

Film London and Ruby Blue star Bob Hoskins were jointly awarded the fesitval's Champion Of Independent Cinema award.
