Actress Mira Sorvino, director Arturo Ripstein and LucasFilm's Rick McCallum are amongst the guests at the upcoming San Francisco International Film Festival, which runs April 18 to May 2.

Sorvino is on promotional duty for The Triumph Of Love, while Ripstein is in town with The Ruination Of Men. McCallum will hold forth as a panelist at the Digital and New Technologies seminar. Also on the guest list are Sergei Bodrov Jr for Sisters, The Trespasser director Beto Brant, Ann Hui for July Rhapsody and CQ's Roman Coppola.

As previously announced, Kevin Spacey will collect the Peter J Owens Award, while Warren Beatty picks up the Akira Kurosawa Award. Latin American filmmaker Fernando Birri is to collect the Golden Gate Persistence of Vision Award, while film archivist and curator David Francis is being honoured with the Mel Novikoff Award.

The world premiere of Woody Allen's Hollywood Ending will close the event. Expected to attend are George Hamilton, Mark Rydell and Tiffani-Amber Thiessen, who star in the comedy of Hollywood manners.
